Blinding techno from Speedy J

Posted by kiterae

XLR8R continues its excellent podcast series with a mix from techno veteran DJ Speedy J, aka Jochem Paap. Atmospheric would be the best way I can sum up this mix that is a lesson in creating interest around an ever-evolving beat. Reminiscent of Richie Hawtin’s Decks, EFX & 909, the mix is built vertically – it’s difficult to tell where one track ends and the next kicks in.
