for year’s we’ve been holidaying (particularly in cities) by the 2 night rule – the first night you just show up and are generally led to the hellish tourist hotspots – the places that give you the feeling you could be anywhere on the planet. the second night, by a process of elimination, you manage to hone in on the quarter that does it for you.
